From Old Art to New Beginnings: Launching My Art Online (With Just an iPhone & a Dream)

Today’s a big one. I decided to finally share my old paintings with the world. These are pieces I made years ago—ones that have been quietly tucked away until now.

When my dad visited me here in Canada for the first time last year, I asked him to bring my old artwork with him. While he was here for two months, we made the absolute most of it—day trips, food adventures, quality time. 💛
After he left, and I returned to painting again, something told me: “Before I make anything new, let’s honor what’s already been made.” So here I am—releasing my old art for the very first time.
From FilipinoArt.ph to My Very Own Website 🇵🇭🌐
Some of these pieces were once shared on Filipinoart.ph—a platform supporting Filipino artists. But now? I’m launching them on my own website. Just saying that out loud gives me butterflies.
And here’s the honest truth: I have no idea what I’m doing. 😂
I never wrote blogs before(I wrote on my journal, for me-- not for the entire world to see). I didn’t know how to “publish” a site. I just dove in—watching YouTube tutorials at 1.5x speed, trying to figure it all out. I chose Wix for my website builder and bought a domain on a whim because they hit me with a 50% off deal that was good for 3 days (you know I couldn’t resist 💸).
Building My Art Store from Scratch (Literally)
· 📱 Camera? Just my iPhone.
· 🖼️ Photoshoots? I clean up the pictures and make mockups so you can imagine the artwork on your wall.
· 💻 Design skills? Self-taught, trial-and-error, and a lot of Googling.
I’m doing it piece by piece—no fancy gear, no big team. Just me, my art, and a lot of motivation to finally get it out there.

If You're Starting Something New Too…
I see you. It’s scary and exciting and overwhelming and amazing—all at once. Whether you’re an artist, small business owner, or just chasing a dream: start where you are, use what you have. You don’t need perfect. You just need to begin.
And as for me?
🎨 I’m in it to win it. Let’s go!
